We’re one of you.
Both of us have experienced domestic abuse in the past, so Revive comes from a place of lived experience and an understanding of what it can take to find yourself and rebuild your life afterwards.
Outdoor adventure has been a huge part of both our journeys moving from simply surviving to thriving. As we took on new challenges, we began to see ourselves differently and realise just how capable we really were.
That belief didn’t stay in the mountains. It rippled into other areas of our lives, eventually leading us both to train and qualify as outdoor leaders and completely change what we thought was possible for our futures.
We created Revive because we want other women who’ve experienced domestic abuse to have the opportunity to discover what adventure could unlock for them too.
You don’t have to do it alone. Let’s do this together.
Revive has been built by women, for women
Beth and Janire first met in 2022 on a Mac in a Sac Adventure Day in Eryri. Back then, both were juggling full-time careers with a growing love of the outdoors and dreams of doing something more with it. Beth was training to become a Hill & Moorland Leader alongside her career in events, while Janire was working in social care, training towards her Mountain Leader qualification and beginning to build Ray of Sun Adventures. Fast forward to 2026 and a lot had changed. Both have taken the leap into self-employment, qualified as outdoor leaders and built lives and careers around helping other women experience the outdoors.
Then, over a coffee and a catch-up, they started talking about something much more personal. Having both experienced domestic abuse in the past, they knew how important outdoor adventure had been in their own journeys from surviving to thriving. What if they could use everything they’d learned along the way to help other women do the same?
That conversation became an idea. The idea became a CIC. And Revive was born!
This is only the beginning.

Our StoryWe’ve both experienced domestic abuse from someone we trusted, and those experiences shape everything we do. Revive is built with understanding, without judgement, and with a belief we know first-hand: the outdoors can be a powerful place to rediscover yourself, realise what you’re capable of and to move from surviving to thriving.
