Terms & Conditions
We want every Revive adventure to be safe, welcoming and enjoyable. These Terms & Conditions explain what you can expect from us and what we ask from you when booking or attending one of our events.
By booking an event with Revive Outdoor Adventures CIC, you confirm that you have read and agree to these Terms & Conditions, including our Participant Code of Conduct.

Our activities are currently for women aged 18 and over, unless specifically stated otherwise.
Booking an Adventure
Your place is confirmed once you have completed the required booking information and, where applicable, made payment.
Some events offer free survivor places for women who have experienced domestic abuse. We operate these places entirely on trust and will never ask you to provide evidence, details or an explanation of your experience.
Paid supporter places are available on applicable events.
If you book on behalf of someone else, you are responsible for ensuring they receive and agree to these Terms & Conditions and provide any information we require before participating.
Your Health & Safety
Outdoor activities naturally involve some risk, including slips, trips, falls, changing weather, uneven terrain and other hazards associated with spending time outdoors.
By booking, you acknowledge these inherent risks and agree to follow reasonable safety instructions given by your event leader.
You are responsible for telling us about any relevant medical conditions, medication, allergies, injuries or accessibility requirements that could affect your safe participation.
If you are unsure whether an activity is suitable for you, please contact us before booking.
Clothing & Equipment
Each adventure will include information about the clothing and equipment you need.
You are responsible for arriving appropriately dressed and equipped for the activity and expected conditions.
Where available, equipment may be borrowed from our Revive Kit Library by prior arrangement.
If an event leader believes your clothing, footwear, equipment or physical condition makes participation unsafe, they may ask you not to take part or to stop participating.
Following Your Leader
For everyone's safety, participants must follow reasonable instructions given by the event leader.
Our leaders may change a route, activity or itinerary where necessary because of weather, environmental conditions, group wellbeing or safety.
A leader may ask someone to stop participating if their behaviour or condition presents a significant risk to themselves or others.
The event leader's decision on matters relating to safety and management of the group is final.
Participant Code of Conduct
We want every Revive adventure to feel safe, welcoming and supportive. Everyone who joins us — survivors, supporters, volunteers and leaders — has a part to play in creating that environment.
When attending a Revive event, we ask you to:
Treat everyone with kindness and respect. Discrimination, harassment, bullying, threatening behaviour or abuse of any kind will not be tolerated.
Respect people's privacy. What another person chooses to share about their life or experiences is theirs to tell. Please don't share another participant's personal information or story outside the group without their permission.
Never pressure anyone to share. Nobody attending Revive is expected to talk about their experience of domestic abuse or explain why they are there.
Respect personal boundaries. Everyone has the right to decide what they share, which conversations they participate in and how they interact with others.
Ask before sharing photographs. Please get permission before publicly sharing identifiable photographs or videos of other participants, including on social media.
Follow your leader's safety instructions and behave in a way that doesn't put yourself or anyone else at unnecessary risk.
Respect the outdoors. Look after the places we adventure, respect wildlife and livestock and leave no trace.
Speak to us if something doesn't feel right. If something makes you uncomfortable or you have concerns about behaviour within the group, please speak privately to a Revive leader.
Revive reserves the right to ask someone to leave an event or refuse future participation where their behaviour seriously breaches this Code of Conduct or compromises the safety or wellbeing of others.
Above all, be kind. You never know what someone else has walked through to get here.
First Aid & Emergencies
Our guided hiking activities will be led by appropriately qualified and insured leaders with suitable first-aid provision.
In an emergency, you consent to reasonable first aid being provided and for the emergency services to be contacted where necessary.
Cancellations by You
Free survivor places: If you can no longer attend, please let us know as soon as possible. This gives us the opportunity to offer your place to another woman.
Paid day trips and events: Payments are non-refundable if you cancel. However, you are welcome to sell or transfer your place privately or through our community groups.
You must let us know before the event who will be taking your place so we can update the booking and collect any required participant information.
Courses, retreats or special events may have different payment and cancellation conditions. Where this applies, the relevant terms will be clearly stated before you book.
Changes or Cancellations by Revive
Outdoor adventures are dependent on weather, conditions and other factors outside our control.
We may need to change the route, activity, timings, venue, leader or other arrangements where necessary for safety or because of circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
If Revive cancels an event and cannot provide a suitable alternative, anyone who purchased a paid place will be offered a transfer or refund.
We cannot reimburse additional costs you have arranged independently, such as travel or accommodation.
Transport
Unless specifically stated otherwise, transport to and from Revive events is not included, and you are responsible for making your own travel arrangements.
Where possible, we'll choose locations accessible by public transport and encourage car sharing within the Revive community.
We know transport can be a barrier to getting outdoors. If getting to an event is an issue for you, please contact us and we'll do our best to help find a solution.
Dogs
Dogs are welcome on some Revive adventures, depending on the route, location and type of event.
Where dogs are permitted, they must be well-behaved around people and other dogs and kept on a lead at all times.
Owners are responsible for their dog throughout the event, including bringing poo bags, cleaning up after them and following countryside rules.
Please check the individual event information or contact us before bringing your dog.
Photography & Video
We may take photographs or video at some Revive events for our website, social media, fundraising, marketing and impact reporting.
Attending a Revive event does not automatically mean you consent to being photographed or filmed.
Where identifiable photography or filming is planned, we'll give you the opportunity to consent or decline. You are completely welcome to participate without agreeing to appear in photographs or videos.
We also ask participants to respect one another's privacy and not publicly share identifiable photographs, videos or personal information about another participant without their permission.
Personal Belongings
You are responsible for your personal belongings during Revive events.
Please avoid bringing unnecessary valuables. Revive cannot accept responsibility for loss, theft or damage to personal belongings except where liability cannot legally be excluded.
Insurance
Revive holds appropriate insurance for the activities we provide.
Our insurance does not replace your own personal accident, cancellation or travel insurance.
We recommend considering appropriate personal insurance, particularly for retreats, courses or events involving additional travel or accommodation costs.
Our Responsibility
We take reasonable steps to properly plan, risk assess and deliver our activities safely and professionally.
Outdoor adventure does, however, involve risks that cannot be completely removed.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits Revive's liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence.
Participants remain responsible for following safety instructions, providing relevant information and taking reasonable care of themselves and others.
Safeguarding
The safety and wellbeing of our community is extremely important to us.
Revive has safeguarding procedures in place and concerns raised with us will be handled sensitively and in accordance with our Safeguarding Policy.
Revive is an outdoor community and not a crisis, counselling or therapeutic service. Anyone requiring specialist or immediate domestic abuse support should contact an appropriate specialist service.
Website & Intellectual Property
The Revive name, branding, website content, photographs and other original materials belong to Revive Outdoor Adventures CIC or their respective copyright owners.
They may not be copied, reproduced or used commercially without permission.
Our website may contain links to external websites. Those organisations are responsible for their own content, services and policies.
Privacy
We handle your personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
We only collect information we reasonably need to manage our activities, bookings, safety, communications and legal responsibilities.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms & Conditions as Revive grows, our activities change or legal requirements develop.
The latest version will always be available on our website. The terms applying to your booking will generally be those in force when you make your booking, except where changes are required by law.
Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
Any dispute will be dealt with by the courts having jurisdiction under applicable law.
