Who We Are

Revive Outdoor Adventures CIC is a non-profit Community Interest Company providing outdoor adventures, activities and opportunities for women, including free funded places for women who have experienced domestic abuse.

For the purposes of UK data protection law, Revive Outdoor Adventures CIC is the Data Controller responsible for the personal information we hold.

Depending on how you interact with Revive, we may collect:

Contact details
Your name, email address, telephone number and other contact information you choose to provide.

Booking information
Information needed to manage your booking and participation in our adventures, events and programmes.

For our activities, we may need relevant information about medical conditions, medication, allergies, disabilities or accessibility requirements to help us keep you safe and appropriately support your participation.

Emergency contact details
We may ask for the name and contact details of someone we can contact in an emergency.

Payment and donation information
If you buy a ticket or make a donation, our payment provider will process the information required to complete your transaction. We do not normally receive or store your full payment-card details.

Communications
If you contact us by email, our website, WhatsApp, social media or another method, we may retain relevant correspondence.

Newsletter preferences
If you subscribe to our newsletter, we’ll collect your contact details and record your marketing preferences.

Our website may collect information through cookies and similar technologies to help it function and help us understand how it is being used.

Free Survivor Places

Some Revive events offer free funded places for women who have experienced domestic abuse.

We operate entirely on trust. We will never ask you to provide evidence, details or an explanation of your experience in order to access a survivor place.

You simply choose the appropriate ticket when booking.

We don’t need to know your story for you to be part of Revive.

How We Use Your Information

We may use your information to:

  • process and manage bookings;

  • communicate important information about your adventure;

  • safely plan and deliver outdoor activities;

  • respond to enquiries;

  • manage donations and fundraising;

  • provide accessibility or practical support;

  • maintain appropriate safety and safeguarding records;

  • send newsletters and updates where you have chosen to receive them;

  • improve our activities, programmes and website;

  • meet our legal, financial, insurance and safeguarding responsibilities.

We will only process personal information where we have an appropriate lawful basis under UK data protection law.

Health and Other Sensitive Information

For our outdoor activities, we may need to collect relevant health, medical or accessibility information to help us keep you safe.

We only ask for information that is genuinely necessary for your participation. We’ll treat this information confidentially, restrict access to those who need it and only use it for the purpose for which it was collected.

We do not ask participants to provide details or evidence of their experience of domestic abuse.

Mailing List

If you choose to subscribe to the Revive newsletter, we may send you information about upcoming adventures, fundraising, campaigns, community news and ways to get involved.

Joining our mailing list is completely optional and you can unsubscribe at any time using the link in our emails.

Booking an event automatically subscribes you to marketing communications.

Photography and Video

We may take photographs or video during Revive activities for our website, social media, marketing, fundraising and impact reporting.

We understand that privacy can be particularly important within our community. You can participate in Revive activities without agreeing to be photographed or filmed.

We will seek appropriate consent and make our leaders and photographers aware where someone does not wish to appear in identifiable photographs or video.

Who We Share Your Information With

We will never sell your personal information.

Where necessary, we may share limited information with trusted organisations or service providers that help us run Revive, such as:

  • website and booking providers;

  • payment processors;

  • email and communication providers;

  • venues or activity providers;
